Remembering that funky nerd, Prince

Banner: Support Extra Life @ Dungeon Masters Guild

Purple tears will fall like rain today – the artist known as Prince has died at his Paisley Park compound in Minneapolis. The flamboyant star was known for his plethora of popular songs over the past few decades, but In nerd culture he’s remembered best as the musician responsible for the 1989 Batman soundtrack that made Jack Nicholson’s Joker funky!

Only an ultra-nerd would dare call themselves Prince (his actual name was Prince Rogers Nelson), then change their name to an obscure elvish-like symbol, and then back again to Prince. So even though he’s not typically celebrated for his geekiness, we know when we lose one of our own. RIP, Prince, and may your groovy soul rock that big show in sky.
