SILVER SURFER: REQUIEM #4 (of 4)
On Wednesday, the critically acclaimed story of Silver Surfer’s final days will reach a dramatic conclusion. The herald of Galactus is dying. For untold years, Norrin Radd surfed the galaxy, exploring the darkness between stars, witnessing the rise and fall of vast civilizations. As the protective material surrounding his body breaks down, Silver Surfer and those around him must come to terms with the idea that he may soon be no more.
In the final issue of the Marvel Knights’ series, he returns to Zenn-La, the planet of his birth, to draw his last breath. With beautifully painted artwork from Esad Ribic (House of M, LOKI) and a compelling, heartfelt story by J. Michael Straczynski (Amazing Spider-Man, Thor), this series is easily one of the best this summer and it’s sure to have an excellent ending.

Way to go Marvel! How many more iconic superheroes can you kill off in 2006?! You still have months to work in the demise of more of our favorites!
Not trying to take away from Straczynski here, (he’s awesome and I’m sure he’ll tell a good story) but c’mon.. I’m still reeling from Cap’s unseemly fate. Actually, I think I’ll be reeling til someone kills Tony Stark! I need some revenge!
