Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017: Day 2 photos and trailer crush …

Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017 Day 2
Cheering the Last Jedi trailer

After Thursday’s crowd crises largely abated, limited wristbands and nearly nonexistent Wi-Fi didn’t stop Star Wars Celebration Orlando 2017 attendees from catching the trailer for Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi live at the film’s Friday panel. As the 11 o’clock hour began, overflow crowds on the convention’s main floor rushed to The Star Wars Show Stage to see it streamed, since they couldn’t catch it in person or in one of the multiple streaming theaters.

Of course, between R2 Builders, Fantasy Flight gaming, crowd-sourced LEGO modeling and foam Death Star trench construction for Hot Wheels races and all the spectacular products, creations and cosplayers about, there was so much else to do that it’s foolish to fixate on a trailer that was soon available online. (But then that amazing poster started showing up in lucky campers’ hands to remind you that you’d barely scratched the surface of the day’s offerings.

Check out our gallery of Friday’s Celebration scenes.
